The wind blew a new scent. Her eyes narrowed slowly as she gazed around the decks of her ship. She turned and looked at Alzeta for a moment. Alzeta seemed as lost as her in her thoughts. Katzandra sighed softly and pulled the hood of her cloak over her head. Her eyes glistened through the darkness of the hood with an intense sadness. She did hope that the crew did not notice her aching heart.
“Alzeta, I need a few moments alone... you will know where to find me.”
A look of concern, yet understanding crossed the Elven warrior’s delicate and tired features.
“Aye, Captain.”
Katzandra nodded and faded into the darkness of the ships secrets. She was tired. It had been a long journey. She did miss Argent Dawn and the sailors that were lost there, but she was the Captain… she had to pull herself together for the sake of her crew.
Her long elven fingers began to glow as she danced them along the wheel of the ship. A small and fragile smile formed across her crimson silk lips. She did love this ship. Her eyes danced up into the sky of the Outlands. It had been forever since she had been here... and her last memories are not as fond. May they find the peace they seek this time.
She closed her eyes and focused her energy to bless the ship on its journey. The ship began to glow and glisten with an intensive silver hue.
Alzeta smirked, she knew Katzandra too well. The crew began to scatter the decks in confusion.
“Keep on doing what you’re doing; it’s a simple blessing from Elune.”
No one dare to question Alzeta so they went back to work.
Kialee appeared from the shadows and leaned against Alzeta. She had always been the flirtatious type.
“Has it begun?”
Alzeta nodded to her rogue friend.
Kialee smirked and looked towards the ships haul. She nodded and faded just as soon as she had appeared.
Katzandra kept her eyes closing speaking the ancient tongue of the Outland Elves.
She felt a soft hand upon her shoulder which snapped her out of concentration. Vinnia stood above her with an innocent and knowing smile.
Katzandra nodded and went to Alzeta’s side once more.
“Everything will be fine Capt’. We will protect what remains true to us.”
“Traitors shall fall and alliances will be formed.” Kialee said as she reappeared sharpening her daggers.
A sly smirk formed across Katzandra’s lips. She knew they would be ok. Yet the past and betrayal still lingered in her heart. The wind began to pick up as the sky danced intensively with the hues of orange and purple.
“This is just the beginning; forget the past of what we faced. The past is nothing compared to the future.”
“Let him go Katzandra.” Azaradel spoke bluntly.
“Time Azaradel, time, time is ones best friend and worst enemy in the Outlands.”
It took a week for them to reach the new realm of the Scryers. Although they had lost many crew mates in the journey from Argent Dawn, they would live on and form new bonds. And so begins a new alliance of friends and leaders. The Pirates of Outland would do whatever they must to protect this alliance and the good things that still exist… and of course… drink to their hearts content.
